A TRIPI Mantra inspired by, a vegan-chocolate-cake-eating 10 year old girl, a weathered Rock-n-Roll drummer, and an Italian-American single mom from the 1970's. Written over the course of a couple years, the music came first and bit by bit the lyrics and melody began to take shape.....I suppose the meaning came last..... as it stands here today March 28th, 2020, it has taken on several alterations of the meaning. Maybe that's how it's goes? Today's meaning seems a long way from where it started. At some point it even felt like the meaning was like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz when she said "there's no place like home"

In Native American culture Medicine is about healing that makes us whole–an internal healing more than curing. Music is that kind of Big Medicine.

Singer-Songwriter, Tony Tripi has been searching for and discovering big medicine in music most of his life, and with this collection of songs that celebrate the human condition, he shares its healing power with us.

Born in Western New York, Tripi’s childhood see-sawed between rural Hoosier farm towns and inner-city Indianapolis, meandering finally to the Eastern Coast. Tripi’s sounds draws from the roots of American music – the street wise funk of the Motor City and the sounds that bubble up from the Louisiana Bayou.

For years, medical professionals have suspected that music improves one’s quality of life and dramatically effects people in a positive way. Big Medicine’s guitar driven compositions soothe the soul, brings listeners to a place where sound and word collaborate, lifting human spirit and make us whole as only music can.
